dO YOU SELL CANNABIS?
Yes! After years of activism fighting prohibition, we are finally able to sell cannabis products! We are one of the few independent, family owned and operated stores in the entire country! We still have all our accessories too!
HOW OLD MUST A PERSON BE TO ENTER THE STORE?
You must be 19+ to enter the store. We cannot allow minors in (even if they are accompanied by parents). This is the law, our licensing depends on it, and there are no exceptions. Please make alternate arrangements for children while you shop.
If you look under 30, we will ask for ID. We accept current, government issued ID. Please remember, our door staff are just doing their best to ensure we have no infractions. Face masks make deciphering age extra difficult. Please be kind to door staff, they are just doing their jobs.
how much cannabis can I buy at once?
We are only allowed to sell 30 grams (or 30 grams equivalent) per customer per transaction. You are allowed to make multiple trips in one day. We hope this rule will be changed soon but for now, the website will cut you off at 30 grams (or equivalent) automatically. In store, the staff will let you know how much you have left if you've got a large basket.
CAN I RETURN A PRODUCT? Sales policy?
All sales are final.
ARE ANY PRODUCTS COVERED BY WARRANTY?
If you have a quality control issue with cannabis you purchased from us, it may be eligible for a claim with the OCS.
To be considered for a claim you must retain your original sales receipt, original pacakging and the product itself.
Making a claim for a cannabis product
1) Take a picture of the product and receipt, and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org explaining the issue.
2) We will review your information and determine whether the product qualifies for a claim (based on what the OCS allows).
3) We will let you know the appropriate course of action and next steps.
Accessories with electronic components usually have some sort of warranty. Calyx + Trichomes honours all 420 Kingston warranties.
Warranties are handled by the manufacturer directly (with the exception of Herbva and Utillian, which we handle instore). You would then contact the manufacturer (usually by email or through their website) to determine the next steps.
There are no warranties for glass products.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We are happy to accept cash, debit, credit and Apple Pay.

IS CBD GOOD FOR PAIN/SLEEP/MEDICAL CONDITIONS?
As a recreational cannabis store, we are not allowed (or qualified, quite frankly) to make medical recommendations of any kind. We can only frame cannabis in a recreational way. We can tell you about products we like that work for us. If you have a serious medical concern, we recommend discussing it with your doctor and getting an ACMPR licence. Even though cannabis is legal now, having a medical licence exempts you from roadside testing, you will be allowed to produce and carry more than the recreational amount, and you may even qualify for reimbursement through ODSP or your benefits provider. If your doctor is anti-cannabis we can recommend a nurse practitioner who will connect with you over Skype to determine your eligibility for medical cannabis or growing for medical use. Please email email@example.com and we will pass along that information.
WHAT CBD PRODUCTS DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR PETS?
Legal cannabis products are only formulated and calibrated for human use at this time. While CBD is non-psychoactive, there is no way to know how (or even if) your beloved pet might be affected. While there is plenty of anectodal evidence that supports unregulated CBD use in pets, none of it is proven. We cannot in good conscience recommend any of our products for your pet.
HOW MUCH CBD OIL/CANNABIS/EDIBLES SHOULD I TAKE?
That really depends on you--your body, your tolerance, even what you had for lunch. There is no standard dose and there is no recommendation we can make other than start low, go slow, and avoid any big plans for a couple hours after you consume. The onset of smoked/inhaled cannabis is almost instant or within a couple minutes for most people. The onset of consumed cannabis (edible/drinkable/capsule/etc.) takes a little longer (because it's being processed through your liver) and you probably won't feel those for 30-45 minutes.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD + THC?
CBD is the non-impairing, non-psychoactive component that people typically use for wellness. Be careful with CBD before bed, it may feel like you just had a cup of espresso! THC is potentially impairing and psychoative component that people typically use for euphoria (but also wellness). Be careful with THC if you are operating heavy machinery, in high concentrations it might impair decision making, response time and could make you drowsy. Balanced products have equal or near equal amounts of THC and CBD. They each take the edge off the other (perhaps eliminating wakefulness and drowsiness). We find balanced products tend to allow for clearheaded (but not wakeful) relaxation (but not drowsiness). Ultimately it comes down to you, your body chemistry, your mindset and setting, and how you process cannabis.
how dO i pick a bong/grinder/vaporizer?
For the most part it comes down to personal preference. We strongly recommend coming in so you can see the products IRL and we can help you compare and contrast. We have accessories at different quality levels and price points. Especially for functionality, it's a good idea to have one of us break down the differences for you. We love talking about this stuff, so please ask!
when do you receive new inventory?
We receive new accessory inventory almost everyday! We can order basically anything you want (although there have been some supply delays lately due to Covid).
We are allowed to receive cannabis only once a week, and our day is Friday. We usually receive everything in the morning, but you can expect our online inventory to be fully updated and live by the early afternoon, 4:20 at the absolute latest! We are at the mercy of the OCS and this may change from time to time.
DOES INDICA, SATIVA AND HYBRID MEAN ANYTHING?
Nerp. We mostly want to murder whoever came up with the phrase "in-da-couch". At best it's lazy shorthand for growers to describe how a plant grows (the shape of leaves and finishing times) and at worst, and more commonly, it's a marketing ploy to make cannabis digestible for the masses. You could have the same variety grown by two different companies that the companies will decide are two different plant types (just look at Cold Creek Kush or Ultra Sour variants on our menu). Sativa doesn't always mean "uplifting" or "energetic" and indica doesn't always mean "sleepy" or "relaxing". Technically everything is a hybrid. The same strain on different days could give you a different feeling. The real truth is you just need to try different things to see what you like (and even then, it will still come down to your set and setting). The only reason we list them at all is because it's been deeply ingrained and most people won't read this/believe us when we scream from the rooftops that indica/sativa/hybrid are not real. Anyone who tells you different is lying or not a weed smoker. Please avoid using the indica/sativa/hybrid classifications to make a purchase decision, and instead focus on products with similar genetics (we can help with that), flavours you like, and THC/CBD content.
