Week 2: Mostly sprouted and healthy!

Strains in the tents:  Russian Doll, Sour Key OG, God's Pussy and Pineapple Express (scroll down for details by strain).

Grow method:  Indoor SCROG (although the screen is not on yet) with LED

LED Details:  2x California Lightworks 1100 + 2x California Lightworks 550, on our SEEDLING setting of 50: Red, 79 White, 99 Blue for 24 hours.

Gear we are using:  Pure Tents, California Lightworks 1100s and 550s LEDs and controller, Pure Pots (10 gallon), Promix HP, Dollar Store EZ Pods.

Almost all of our seeds have sprouted.  You will notice that the tents are not full of pots.  That's because we will be using the Screen of Green technique which involves using a net to trellis the plants and grow them horizontally (maximizing yield).  We will still get the same canopy with fewer plants.  With the net in place you wont be able to tend to pots in the back row.  You may be asking, "why are you growing in such big containers?" and the answer is that you can arguably do more damage and cause more stress in transplanting.  Or you could argue I am lazy.  Either way, I am just extra careful with watering at the very beginning.

Strain name:  Sour Key OG
Genetics:  Amnesia Haze X (Super Lemon Haze X OG Kush)
Flowering time:  8-9 weeks
Yield:  Heavy
Level of difficulty:  Medium
Notes:  Super sweet lemon taste with hazey undertones.  One of the first strains I ever grew, and perhaps due to our inexperience at the time, I had issues with bud rot in the last week of flowering.  Now that I have changed my technique to Screen of Green for this grow, and am paying special attention to ventilation and humidity in the tent, I'm hoping to avoid issues this round.  I put these in on of our larger tents (120cm x 120cm) under a SolarSystem 1100.  I will ultimately only have 3 plants in this tent (will grow the 4th somewhere else).  Whichever are the most vigorous and/or uniform will stay.

Strain name:  Pineapple Express
Genetics:  Big Bud X Skunk
Flowering time:  8 weeks
Yield:  Heavy
Level of difficulty:  Easy
Notes:  I haven't grown this strain before but have had it in concentrate form a couple times from our hashmaker and it was awesome.  I had to give it a try!  This strain was the quickest to germinate and take this round.  We'll see if it continues to be the most vigorous.  I have it in one of my larger tents under a SolarSystem 1100.  Like the last strain, we will ultimately only have the 3 most vigorous and/or uniform in this tent.

Genetics:  Kush X Kush
Flowering time:  9-10 weeks
Yield:  Heavy
Level of difficulty:  Medium
Notes:  This is the kushiest strain we grow and smells and tastes amazing (hence the name).  I did have some issues this round with one of the seedlings and are just waiting for the last one to sprout so we can plant it alongside the rest.  I have these in my smaller tents (100cm x 100cm)  under a Solar System 550.

Genetics:  Kuban Sativa x Northern Lights x AK-47
Flowering time:  8-9 weeks
Yield:  Medium
Level of difficulty:  Easy
Notes:  This is my favourite strain to grow.  It's always slow to start, but pays off in the end.  It is fairly stable and produces HUGE buds (but the plants themselves stay pretty compact).  There are a couple distinct phenotypes, one is very purple, the rest are super green. I have these in my smaller tents (100cm x 100cm)  under a Solar System 550.  In the picture below you can see my previous Russian Doll grow which was not done in Screen of Green, as you can see.  This grow will be my first time doing this strain with Screen of green and I am convinced it will perfect it.  You can clearly see the purple pheno in there (last grow only one went really purple).
