Week 13: Heavy watering to prep for flower!
Strains in the tents:  Russian Doll, Sour Key OG, and Pineapple Express (scroll down for details by strain).

Grow method:  Indoor SCROG with LED.

LED Details:  2x California Lightworks 1100 + 2x California Lightworks 550, on our VEG B setting of 70: Red, 99 White, 99 Blue for 20 hours.

Gear we are using:  Pure Tents, California Lightworks 1100s and 550s LEDs and controller, Pure Pots (10 gallon), Promix HP, Dollar Store EZ Pods, Green House Powder Feed, BlueSky Organics Organic Reactor, Safer's End All miticide concentrate (plus water and a spray bottle), microscope, Secret Jardin Oscillating Fan.

Pretty easy going week on all fronts, just preparing the garden to go into flower at this point.  I took the time to water all plants really generously this whole week and will continue this through flower. I still continued to dose everything with Reactor, even if it fell on a watering day.  I just want to give the plants as much nitrogen as possible because soon I will be stripping any leaves or branching that doesn't reach the screen.  My screens are almost full and I am not far off pruning the bottom (and getting eager to because there are a few branches I know will not make the screen and will have to go.  I should be able to stop fussing with the tucking next week (which at this point I am doing at least twice a day--I just can't stay out of the garden).  Once all the branches are in place I will allow the buds to grow upwards and form buds.  After the cycle switches to flowering we will start to see preflowers in a couple days so its best to have everything in place as much as possible before flipping the lights.  Additionally, I reduced the light hours down to 20 so that there is less of a shock when we go down to 12 hours.  I also decided that next grow I am going to add more red in the grow cycle towards the end of veg to help stretching a little more (maybe instead of 70 Red boost it up to 85 Red).

Strain name:
Sour Key OG
Genetics:  Amnesia Haze X (Super Lemon Haze X OG Kush)
Flowering time:  8-9 weeks
Yield:  Heavy
Level of difficulty:  Medium
Notes:  Tent 1 is almost completely filled--like a handful of unfilled squares left.  This tent, for whatever reason, seemed to grow most vigorously compared to the rest.  If I were a betting gal I would say this will be the tent with the biggest buds (although I know my Dollies get big too, so we'll see!).  Where Tent 1 seems to be homogeneous with both plants seemingly the same, Tent 2 has two distinct phenotypes growing completely differently.  It will be interesting to see how the buds differ on these ones.

Strain name:  Pineapple Express
Genetics:  Big Bud X Hawaiian Skunk
Flowering time:  8 weeks
Yield:  Heavy
Level of difficulty:  Medium
Notes:   Everything is looking lush in the Pineapple Express tent.  Apparently the Rez was selling a bunch of Pineapple Express clones that ended up in at least 3 different customers hands (along with Violator Kush and Pink Kush).   I never believe the clones are what they say they are.  Mine are from seed so I know for sure I have what I have.  The 3 plants in this tent are looking pretty stable--it really could all be one plant.  I am looking forward to seeing how this one flowers!

Strain name:  Russian Doll
Genetics:  Kuban Sativa x Northern Lights x AK-47
Flowering time:  8-9 weeks
Yield:  Medium
Level of difficulty:  Easy
Notes:  My best tent as always.  I think its just personal preference in the formation and the leaves, but I love my Russian Doll because I find it uniform, tough as nails and easy to trim.  I already know how these buds will turn out (big and fat baby arms) but this is the first time I have scrogged them.  I am looking forward to seeing a bunch of uniform monster buds!  These girls are loving the extra water this week, that's for sure!  They just soak it up!
